Hello Homeowners,

I am the Assistant General Manager, and I’m pleased to write this week’s update while Carl is out of the office. With Labor Day weekend upon us, I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for all the employees and volunteers who help make SDCEA such a wonderful place to live. We are a large organization supporting a diverse range of services and amenities, all of which contribute to the vibrant lifestyle that defines our community.

Our volunteers are essential to our success, whether serving on the Board of Directors or contributing time and energy on various committees. One such group, the Environmental Control Committee (ECC), reviews member project applications to ensure property changes align with the standards in our governing documents. The ECC currently has two vacancies, and we are seeking interested members to join this important committee. If you’d like to get involved, please contact me directly at Joshua.Jones@sdcea.net.

For those staying in town this Labor Day, The Oaks Grille will be open with a selection of breakfast options on Monday from 8 – 11 am, followed by our regular lunch at noon and dinner service beginning at 5 pm. We hope you’ll stop by and enjoy a delicious meal with us.

Looking ahead to next week, there’s plenty to enjoy:

  • Live music in the Par Lounge three times: B Street Vibes, Ashley E Norton, and Farm Truck
  • The last of the Summer Concerts in the Park Series is Saturday, Sept. 6, featuring Dirty Confetti

Bring your friends and family and take advantage of all the great events and amenities SDCEA has to offer.

Finally, the Clubhouse Roofing Project is set to begin next week. This important project reflects our ongoing commitment to property maintenance and ensuring that our facilities remain in excellent condition for future generations.

Thank you for being part of this incredible community, and I hope you have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.

Warm regards,

Joshua Jones, Assistant General Manager

Construction Update: Clubhouse Roofing Project Begins Tuesday, Sept. 2

The clubhouse roofing project is scheduled to begin next Tuesday. On that day, expect increased vehicle traffic as the contractor delivers materials and equipment. A section of the parking lot will also be fenced off to support the project and ensure safety.

The work is expected to take approximately 8 to 12 weeks to complete. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.

Please stay tuned to the Valley News for regular updates and any changes to the schedule or access.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
