Hello Homeowners,
We have a lot to be excited about in and around the community. It’s a time full of events, concerts, amazing weather, great golf course conditions, and some great new additions to our team.
I am announcing a new form of community outreach and homeowner appreciation. Previously, I hosted “Coffee with Carl” as an open-format, Q&A session for the community. We are now expanding this to become “Beer with the Board” and “Cocktails with Carl.” I hope that got your attention. This, too, is an informal information-sharing and social event. The Board and I are focused on community engagement. Please join us on Tuesday, July 29. An RSVP form will be posted in the Valley News.
A few details for the event: Happy Hour will take place from 5 to 6:30 pm. This is the time to mix and mingle with your Board and management team. At 6:30 pm, if you choose to stay for a special homeowner-only dinner, Chef Ben is preparing a great prix fixe set menu for the night, complete with many special touches. Chef will come and speak with us about his creations. We would like to have this begin a new tradition of special owner-only events. SDCEA is a special community, and we want to create more special events for you.
This is a limited-space event that requires an RSVP. More details to follow…so, SAVE THE DATE!
You may know by now that our amazing Front of House Manager, Colleen Doulgeropoulos, has retired. She has been such a key element of our Par Lounge and The Oaks Grille for decades. Her dedication and service to the community cannot be overstated. We certainly wish you all the best as you take the time to enjoy the retired life. Colleen, you will be missed!
On that note, we are also blessed to have interviewed some great candidates for this position and have hired Chuck Kast. His experience is excellent, but his demeanor, personality, and dedication to service are what we know will be the key to his success. We are truly a “team”. We are here to help him as he takes over the front of house operation. Please welcome Chuck when you see him around The Oaks Grille and Par Lounge. Personally, I couldn’t be happier with bringing him on board.
Once again, WE need to work together (Community Owners, Committees, Management, and the Board) to create the advancement and positive outcomes we all desire for San Diego Country Estates. Piece by piece, day by day, we strive for continuous improvement, all in the effort to make SDCEA the best that it can be. Thank you for your time and dedication to our community.
