Hello Homeowners,
I appreciate that, over my short time here, I have met many interested and involved homeowners, and I hope that trend continues. You’ll see the announcement below for continued outreach to our community members. The Beer with the Board & Cocktails with Carl event, as well as the Homeowner Appreciation Dinner, will be held on Tuesday, July 29. Please register for one or both, as noted in the flyers below.
I have gained some insight into the history of SDCEA over the years. It is good to know how we got to 2025. What went right, what went wrong, or what went sideways… If you are one of the unofficial SDCEA historians, maybe we should have lunch someday. Come by and set up a time.
A significant development recently occurred: two forums were held to gather input from homeowners and interested individuals on their vision for the future of our equestrian facilities. We want the homeowners to be involved and to speak about their goals for the community. If you ask me, this is another step in how WE build a stronger, more cohesive, and successful community. Thanks to all of you who put this together, and to those who participated.
I’d also like to recognize the large number of unpaid volunteers who help make things the best they can be. Obviously, I work closely with the Board, so I see their dedication on a regular basis. It is a commitment. Our committee members do the same, they work hard, they show up to many events, and work continuously for the benefit of the entire community. Please take a moment to thank them for what is generally a “thankless job.”
I’ll keep this brief and wrap it up… Why do I write so much about activities, involvement, and engagement within the community? Because there is much to be proud of here. We have new energy, ideas, and inertia behind “Making SDCEA the best that it can be.”
One of my main goals is to enhance your knowledge of HOAs and our operations. With transparency, information sharing, discussion, and consensus-building, we can accomplish some amazing things around here. I hope you will find more ways to participate, communicate, and have fun with our numerous events and activities.
Thanks again for taking the time to read the Valley News and enjoying all we have to offer. Have a great weekend.
Thank you for doing your part in making SDCEA the best it can be.
Thank you, Carl Weiss, GM
P.S. One final note: Trivia Night in August has some fun new features. Check out the article below, view the Aug. 5 Trivia Night flyer, and consider joining the fun.
