Hello Homeowners,
BOARD BRIEFS
Our Board of Directors met this week, and here are the highlights:
The Board approved equipment replacements for the golf course and equestrian centers (front loader/multi-purpose tractor, a fairway aerifier, and a utility/gator). In addition, the HVAC unit for the clubhouse and replacements for 4 mini-splits for the lodge were approved.
Along with approving minutes, financials, liens, and foreclosures, the Board appointed Director Roger Rajcic to represent the Board on the Fire Safety Committee, and the following people to the Budget Development Committee: Anne Breight, Lisa Blackburn, Kathleen Kankelberg, with Jodie Taylor being the Board Representative. As always, our Treasurer will chair the committee (John Massery).
A few additional notes:
- Reminder to all homeowners/residents…The old gate access cards will no longer be active as of this Thursday, July 31. Our Community Relations Department has been communicating about this change and the need for new access cards for many months. The deactivation date is just around the corner. Please visit the CRD office at 15910 Avenel Lane to trade in your old cards for a new one.
- San Vicente Roadwork: Many months ago, we were told that the eastbound SVR lane reduction project would be done this summer. At present, no firm date is available. The project now is tentatively planned for “late summer or fall.” As we learn more about the exact timeframe, we will let you know.
- Are you having friends and family visiting from out of town? Consider using our Lodge as your extra guest bedroom. We are running a homeowner exclusive, special summer rate. Contact our Member Guest Services team for details. Also, book early with our holiday rate detailed below. Our newly renovated rooms look great. If you haven’t seen them during our recent open house, stop by and book a room. We’d love to host your guests here!
- The Ramona Chamber of Commerce is holding the annual Ramona Country Fair next weekend, August 1 – 3. What a great way to get out and enjoy the Ramona lifestyle. Personally, I am looking forward to going! Check out the details.
Thank you for doing your part in making SDCEA the best it can be.
Thank you, Carl Weiss, GM
