Hello Homeowners,
It was great to see so many of our homeowners come out for the Open House at San Vicente Resort on Wednesday. We were able to show off all that we offer to our homeowners and the public. A featured attraction was our newly renovated guest rooms. Mary Ellen Stevens, Duane Dobrotin, and the team did a great job of designing and coordinating all of the work to complete the renovations. The rooms look AMAZING. Everyone had the chance to take their “Passport” to visit and speak with managers about golf, banquets, equestrian facilities, and more. It was a really fun event for all involved.
As you know, the Monte Fire has been burning to our south. Like you, I am extremely grateful that the fire did not turn our way. My takeaway from the recent fires is that we should treat them as a “Dress Rehearsal” to test our personal preparedness. Internally, my team was on alert and monitoring the situation, so that if we had to act, we were prepared to do so. There are many ways that you can keep informed. You should explore the various options available to you for receiving official communication about the fire(s) and any calls for evacuation. While I won’t tell you which apps or channels will work best for you, I can say that I use the Watch Duty App and Genasys Protect App. The San Diego County Office of Emergency Services also offers additional resources.
For more information about these apps, please click on the links: Watch Duty and Genasys Protect.
Don’t forget, Concert in the Park this Saturday features Cadillac Fringe playing from 6 – 9 pm. If you haven’t already, mark your calendar for our Big 4th of July Parade and Celebration. I can’t wait to be here for this one. Please see the ad with a link to the event details below this article.
Thank you for doing your part in making SDCEA the best it can be.
Thank you, Carl Weise, GM
