General Manager Carl Weise

I have changed how the GM Article is displayed. Instead of requiring a click on the READ MORE link, as it did last week, I will now post the article directly on the main page.

Additionally, I am repeating last week’s message for the March 7 edition to ensure more of our homeowners can see and read it. I appreciate your understanding.

Next week’s article will focus on the concept of What is REASONABLE. I will share what the basic idea means to me and how that will impact how I will conduct SDCEA business.

SDCEA General Manager Update

Dear Homeowners,

This is the beginning of a great new working relationship. For any relationship to be successful, we will need to establish trust. One foundation of trust is communication. I will do my best to have a weekly article in the Valley News as one part of open and reciprocal communications. Yes, I know that trust and respect will develop over time as you see actions that benefit San Diego Country Estates as a whole.

Another piece of communications will be a program that I have used in my other communities, “Coffee with Carl.” It is an informal hour for me to sit down and listen to homeowner concerns, questions, and for me to either respond or investigate those issues. I am not a 9 - 5 manager; I will be seen doing some late hours and weekend events as well. I know that many of you are working, raising families, and do not have the time during the Monday through Friday business hours. I will be flexible so that I can meet and hear from a broad group of homeowners.

Something to know about me, I take the Boy Scout concept of “Be Prepared” seriously. I have worked in other Very High Fire Risk communities and will be as proactive as possible to help SDCEA Be Prepared. As well, I try to be a good citizen, volunteer, and love to create positive changes in my work and personal life. This also means that I take the word, FIDUCIARY, to heart. I will make sure that the management team and I will treat your assets/money/assessments/business better than we treat our own.

I need your help in this process! I will reach out in multiple ways in the upcoming months, so that you can help me find the puzzle pieces that make up all aspects of SDCEA. I know there are issues and opportunities to be addressed. As you help me see key aspects, please also provide your thoughts on what a balanced solution would look like to you. Together, we can make positive changes in the community. This is truly a team approach.

A note of appreciation…I want to thank the 5 people who the homeowners elected to represent SDCEA as our Board of Directors. I appreciate that they decided to trust my experience, education, and personality to lead our management team. In a short time, I have seen their individual and collective passion to provide responsible leadership and direction to improve our financial condition, the appearance of the community, and provide value to San Diego Country Estates.

Once again, this is a TEAM approach. WE CAN DO THIS!

Thank you, Carl Weise, GM
