Hello SDCEA Homeowners,

Who agrees with the following statement, “How can it be the month of May already?” Please remember to reserve your table for an amazing Mother’s Day Brunch. It’s only a week away! You’ll find more information in another section of this edition of Valley News.

If you’ve met me or read previous articles, you know that I am a person to help build stronger communities. Holiday, Social, and Community Service-oriented Events are great for everyone to relax and have some fun. I hope to see you at Ramona Oaks Park for the Craft Fair and the Green Waste Disposal at the IEC. I love to see the many types of events that we have here in the Estates.

I believe in The Three B’s of Better Community Living. Our lives are busier than ever. Work/Career, School, After-School Events, Sports, Travel, Yard Work…the list goes on and on. This leaves less time to socialize, rest, and relax. I encourage all of us to find time to de-stress and enjoy your home and the events and amenities right here in our community.

So, how does this tie into the Three B’s? It is a simple concept of reaching out to the new neighbor on your street, or a neighbor that you’ve never gotten to know before:

BEER, BRATS (bratwurst), and BROWNIES — those are the Three B’s.

We all know how hard it is to move out of one home and into another. When you see that moving truck at a neighbor’s house, bring over a plate of brownies and a six-pack of beer. Stop by again a week later to invite them over for a BBQ or brats on the grill. Be proactive in welcoming them to the neighborhood. It’s these simple acts that bring us together and help us build an even stronger community.

In future articles, I will bring back more of the HOA operations information. In that light, I am hosting another set of dates for Coffee with Carl. I held the first of these events a month ago. The next dates are: Friday, May 16, at 9 am and Saturday, May 17, at 10 am in the Par Lounge. Click on the link below and fill out the form to present your questions in advance by Tuesday, May 13. I look forward to seeing you then.

Ask the GM Link.

Together, WE can make San Diego Country Estates the Best that it can Be.

Thank you, Carl Weise, GM
