Hello Homeowners,

I invite you to join us at the flagpoles in front of the Clubhouse this Tuesday morning at 8 am. It’s a time for us all to honor our veterans during the Veterans Day Flag Ceremony—a short but meaningful event that represents the unity and gratitude of our community. We have a significant military presence in the Estates, Ramona, and throughout San Diego County. Let’s show up in force to honor the bravest among us. I’ll see you Tuesday morning.

Later this month, our Food and Beverage Team invites you, your family, and friends to join us in celebrating an excellent traditional Thanksgiving dinner together. Homeowners also receive an exclusive $5 savings on adult Thanksgiving dinners as our way of saying thank you for being part of this special community. Make your reservations early.

I would also like to share an important update regarding e-bikes and similar vehicles being used on our horse and hiking trails. Unfortunately, this issue now extends to golf carts as well. While I understand the curiosity and excitement these vehicles bring—especially for kids who are often the ones riding e-bikes—it doesn’t change the fact that using them on horse trails is unsafe and inexcusable.

Some might say it’s part of growing up, that being a teen or young adult involves “testing the limits” or “seeing what I can get away with.” But the flip side is just as important to consider: “What unintended damage could be done?” and “What are the consequences of my actions?”

As parents, we are responsible for helping our kids understand and respect community rules. Please take a moment to discuss with your family the importance of keeping our trails safe and using them only as intended. If violations are levied for this dangerous activity, the fine is significant.

Thanks again for helping us make San Diego Country Estates the best it can be!
