Hello Homeowners,

Let me start with a few quick reminders.

Tuesday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day. Please join us at 8 am as we host our Flag Ceremony to honor the service of our Veterans. This event will be similar to the one held on Memorial Day. Consider this a meaningful way to come together as a community, in support of those who have defended our country and the Constitution. We will meet at the flagpoles in front of the resort.

At the conclusion, we will step inside the clubhouse for a complimentary champagne toast. Be prepared to raise a glass, give a toast, and consider having breakfast in The Oaks Grille.

We are noticing an increase in e-bike and e-motorbike activity on our Horse Trails.

This is a serious safety concern. It is completely unacceptable and in violation of our rules. This activity can easily spook the horse and cause serious injury to both the rider and horse. Please remind your kids about the dangers of riding on these trails. We appreciate your help in resolving this safety issue.

The Board of Directors held its regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and approved repairs to components of a large irrigation pump and work on some roads within the IEC. The Board would like to have more time to review the draft budget and has temporarily held off on approving the 2026 budget. In addition, the Board appointed Rodger Johnson to be the Chair of the Environmental Control Committee; Christina Payne was appointed to the Equestrian Committee, and Board member Jodie Taylor was appointed to Chair the Nominating Committee.

The regular November Board Meeting is scheduled for 7 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Rotunda.

Something to brag about… We should all take pride that our resort and operations won four categories in the BEST OF RAMONA Readers Poll. We were also named the favorite in 10 other categories.

We WON: Best Dinner, Best Golf Course, Best Pizza, and Best Hotel

We were named the favorite in the following categories: Wedding Venue, Burger, Lunch, Bar/Night Spot, Dancing, Happy Hour, Live Music, Margarita, and Taco.

This is a testament to how our offerings are received in the greater Ramona community. Next time you stop by, take a moment to congratulate our team members who are definitely making SDCEA the BEST it can be.

SDCEA Volunteer Opportunities

Opportunity to Join SDCEA BOARD OF DIRECTORS 2026 Nominating Committee

A minimum of two homeowners is needed to join the nominating committee for the 2026 Board of Directors election. This committee will meet once between December 17 and 19 and again following the close of the nomination period on Friday, Jan. 9.

The purpose of this committee is to consider and review all candidates who possess reasonable qualifications and are requesting to run for the Board. The committee will provide recommendations to the Board at the January 2026 meeting.
