Finding Joy and Gratitude after Overcoming Breast Cancer


We close out Breast Cancer Awareness Month and enter the season of gratitude. Stephanie Norvell, a San Diego Country Estates homeowner, local business owner, and Ramona Archway Association Board of Directors member, shares her journey of overcoming breast cancer and the ways it has improved her life.


In 2020, Stephanie was diagnosed with breast cancer. "We were driving out to our river house in Arizona, and I got a phone call notifying me that I had breast cancer," says Stephanie. "We pulled the truck over to the side of the road and were in shock." She adds that she felt very healthy at the time.

Riders saddled up for a spooky time at the Trick or Treat Safe Trail hosted by the San Vicente Saddle Club and Halloween Fun Show Fundraiser Show at the International Equestrian Center put on by the San Diego Country Estates Committee, Ramona Santana Riders, and horse trainer Joann Henrickle Horsemanship.

Ramona High School Girls' Golf Team Receives $565 Donation


Joyce Whitehead and Penny Fowler, co-chairs of the SVWGA Dreamcatcher Tournament, presented Ramona High School Golf Coach Dean Welsh and the Girls' Golf Team with a donation of $565, raised from raffle contributions at the recent member-guest tournament organized by Golf Pro Matt Brumbaugh.

Golf Course Water Storage Committee Volunteer Opportunities


The Board of Directors will appoint members to the Golf Course Water Storage Committee on December 17, 2024. Interested members must submit a “committee interest form” by November 27 to Nim Miranda, Executive Assistant, at execsec@sdcea.net.


Committee Volunteer Form


The Golf Course Water Storage Committee is established to assess, plan, and recommend strategies for optimizing water storage and management to ensure the sustainable and efficient use of golf course water resources. This includes evaluating current water storage infrastructure and identifying potential improvements.


Interested members shall have experience in engineering, utility, or golf course operations.
