Making a Difference: Laura Miller is Recognized as this Quarter’s Outstanding Volunteer

The San Diego Country Estates Association takes pride in its team members' dedication, hard work, and commitment. We are excited to honor Laura Miller as our Volunteer of the Quarter.

Miller joined The Community Relations Committee (CRC) in March 2022. The CRC conducts hearings for members as requested by the Association’s governing documents and the California Civil Code. She joined the Environmental Control Committee (ECC) in March 2024. The ECC members consider and act upon any and all proposals or plans submitted by Homeowners to ensure that any improvements constructed on properties by anyone conform to plans approved by the ECC.

General Manager Perspectives

October brings exciting local events like pumpkin patches, harvest festivals, and the SDCEA Fall Festival on October 19, alongside vineyard tours in the nearby Ramona Valley Wine Region. The management team is focused on the 2025 budget presentation on October 1 and advancing key projects such as the ADA Lift, Pocket Park Shade Structure, and roof renovations at the clubhouse and IEC barns, aiming for completion by the end of the year.

2025 Budget Update & SDCEA Member Community Workshop - Tuesday, Oct. 1, 6 pm

The 2025 draft summary budget will be available for review by SDCEA homeowners on Saturday, Sept. 28. Copies of the budget can be picked up in the Administration Office or at Member-Guest Services. The draft budget will also be available on the sdcea.net website's Member homepage after you log into your account.

A Community Workshop will be held for members on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 6 pm in the San Vicente Room at 24157 San Vicente Road to discuss the draft budget. The final 2025 budget will be approved at the Oct. 22 SDCEA Board Meeting at 7 pm in the San Vicente Room.

Car Show Enthusiast Winners Took the Stage at Ramona Oaks Park

Car owners kept it classy, showing off a wide array of classic and vintage cars at the 21st Annual Classic Car Show & Concert on Saturday, September 21. Residents moved and grooved to music by Steal Dawn while checking out timeless automobiles on display.

Helping Kids Express Their Feelings in Different Ways

At the Recreation Center, we are dedicated to helping children express their feelings in positive ways, such as through drawing journals and one-on-one walks, fostering an environment where they feel safe, loved, and heard.

Environmental Control Committee Volunteer Opportunity

An exciting volunteer position is available on the Environmental Control Committee (ECC). This is a wonderful opportunity for a member to contribute to the beauty and vitality of our community.

The Environmental Control Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving all proposed exterior improvements to homeowner lots. The ECC is significant in that it establishes architectural standards for the community, encompassing landscaping, RV concealment, and construction requirements. The committee is composed of three members, meeting on the 1^st and 3^rd Tuesday of each month for three hours to approve and inspect homeowner projects. The ECC has the greatest impact on every homeowner's property and the aesthetic of the community, making it so important to find homeowners with experience reading project plans or understanding various aspects of construction or project management.
