Dear Members and Friends,
The latest AHK World Business Outlook shows the world economy is lacking dynamism and trade disputes have the potentia l to slow down investment by German companies in the US. The transatlantic trade and investment relationship remains vitally important. During his trip last week, German Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy, Peter Altmaier advocated for closer cooperation in apprenticeships, innovation, and trade – all key topics for our work.

The 2019 German American Business Awards will celebrate excellence in transatlantic business and honor companies for their outstanding achievements in Innovation, Services, and Economic Development. Apply or nominate a company for one of our awards and join us in supporting German-American business.

If you are looking for more casual ways to connect with our network, b ring friends, family, and co-workers to our WI Chapter’s German Fest Reception on July 26 and enjoy German culture at one of the biggest German festivals in the US. Or, if you can't get enough of soccer euphoria after the US Women's World Cup win, join our GACC Soccer Social on August 17 and enjoy one of our favorite summer social events. Get your ticket before they sell out.
Have a great week!
