The gala celebrating the German American Business Awards and 60th Anniversary of GACC Midwest was such a special evening. I want to thank everyone who was part of the event, especially our award winners, sponsors, colleagues from across the US, and special guest Dr. Volker Treier from DIHK, who joined us in reflecting on the past 60 years!
Another high point of the night was announcing the creation of the German American Apprenticeship & Education Foundation. This entity was founded to support the creation and expansion of high-quality apprenticeship pathways and related education in the United States and to foster knowledge exchange between stakeholders in both countries. We are excited about this additional opportunity to support workforce development in the US!
