Van Duyne Selected to Chair Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations Small Business Subcommittee
Washington, D.C. – Today, the Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, Roger Williams (TX-25), announced that Representative Beth Van Duyne (TX-24) will serve as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations for the 118th Congress.

“It is an honor to be named Chairman of the Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations Subcommittee,” said Van Duyne. “Small businesses are the engine of our economy and our nation’s entrepreneurs epitomize the American dream. The Biden Administration’s reckless spending and one-size-fits-all regulatory approach have made it harder than ever for small businesses to stay afloat. I look forward to working with Chairman Williams and members of the Oversight subcommittee to investigate waste, fraud, and abuse within the Small Business Administration (SBA). Together, we will hold the SBA accountable, reduce onerous regulations, and deliver much-needed relief to Main Street.”

Statement from Small Business Chairman Roger Williams (TX-25):

“I am happy to see Congresswoman Van Duyne lead the committee’s Oversight subcommittee in the 118th Congress,” said Chairman Williams. “She will guide this subcommittee through vital oversight on the SBA’s pandemic response as well as a variety of damaging regulations coming out of the Biden Administration. We need an unapologetic fighter for Main Street at the helm of this subcommittee, and Congresswoman Van Duyne is perfect for the job.”

Congresswoman Van Duyne served as Ranking Member of the committee’s Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations Subcommittee during the 117th Congress.
