ROC has launched an initiative to promote safety and health at the airport named #ReadySetROC detailing new procedures and preparations as air travel across the nation is expected to grow slowly as communities emerges from the COVID 19 pandemic.

Passengers and Airport tenants can expect the following ongoing initiatives:

Enhanced cleaning : More frequent detailed cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces in public areas throughout the terminal and parking facilities (including counters, handrails, elevator buttons, food court tables, seating and parking shuttles). 

Hand sanitizing : Free hand sanitizing stations throughout the terminal building.

Face coverings : All Monroe County Employees are required to wear face coverings while in public areas of the airport.

Social Distancing : Social distancing floor decals, markers and signs are being put in place.

Plastic Shields : Acrylic “sneeze guards” are being installed throughout the terminal

More flights, Service Return in July as Delta Continues Industry-Leading Safety Measures
As economies reopen and border restrictions lift, Delta will add almost 1,000 flights system-wide in July, boosting service and nonstop connectivity to popular summer destinations and major business markets.

Customers traveling or considering travel this summer can feel confident in a  safe experience  throughout the journey, from check-in to baggage claim. Delta has implemented several measures to encourage extra space and provide peace of mind at the airport, as well as committed to  capping cabin seating  at 60 percent in Main Cabin and 50 percent in First Class and blocking middle seats through Sept. 30, 2020.

Major U.S. Airlines Announce Increased Enforcement of Face Coverings
The industry trade organization representing the leading U.S. airlines, announced that its member carriers will be vigorously enforcing face covering policies, putting rigor around rules requiring passengers and customer-facing employees to wear facial coverings over their nose and mouth.

Consequences for Noncompliance: Each carrier will determine the appropriate consequences for passengers who are found to be in noncompliance of the airline’s face covering policy up to and including suspension of flying privileges on that airline.
