Board of Directors- Nominations & Elections
There are two Director terms expiring December 31, 2020. There will be an election for the new three year terms starting Jan 1, 2021.
Members with an interest in running for a Director position must understand the qualifications to be a GVHS Director and understand and agree to abide by the Code of Ethics. These are summarized on the GVHS website. Potential nominees must submit their nomination form, and their brief bio and photo to the GVHS office no later than October 1, 2020. Information for qualified nominees will be provided to the voters.
This election will be done electronically so it is important that the GVHS have your correct email address on file. Please review the Membership List on the website and notify the GVHS Office of any corrections or changes.

GVHS EVALUATIONS
The Gypsy Vanner Horse Evaluation Program has been developed as an educational tool for the horse breeder, to promote thoughtful breeding of Gypsy Vanner Horses of the type as detailed in the breed standard. The program's purpose is to help breeders and owners to educate themselves about the strengths and weaknesses of their horses so they can use this knowledge in making educated breeding and purchasing decisions.
GVHS Evaluations have been scheduled for:
Friday, August 28, Harriman, TN at the Henry Stranford Ag Expo Center (the day prior to the TN Feathered Horse Classic show)
Friday, October 2, Schaghticoke, NY, Fairgrounds (prior to the NEGHC show).
* NOTE: It is very important that if you want the opportunity to have evaluations done that you submit your entry to the GVHS office at gvhs@vanners.org as soon as possible. A decision will be made regarding the TN evaluations based on number of evaluation entries, in the next 2-3 days.
