Influential Women in Business Award Winner 2025

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Jane Bayley, Founder and Director of Holidays with Heart and La Maison Anglaise Garden Ecolodge, has been awarded the Influential Women in Business 2025 award by E2 Media!

Jane's unwavering dedication to sustainable travel and community empowerment for the last 28 years continues to inspire us all. Join us in celebrating this incredible achievement and the profound impact Jane continues to make in the realm of responsible tourism.

But let’s not stop at Jane; the women in our team are the very backbone of our business. We are immensely proud of the contributions by all the women who has played their part in our success, especially Latifa, our manager in Morocco; Marie in the Wales office and all the women in Morocco - Latifa (cook), Fatima, Zineb, Naima and Karima our masseuse whose tireless hard work and passion drive us forward every single day.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible teams in Wales and Morocco, and to our wonderful guests, for making this possible. Your support and trust inspire us to keep creating unforgettable, heart-centred holidays.

Fabulous Recent Testimonials: Morocco

Once again I experienced a wonderful holiday in the stunning La Maison Anglaise. I was delighted to find that I was back in room 4 and immediately felt at peace. It was lovely to see the familiar staff and their smiling faces. They work so hard to accommodate all their guests and would appear to love their work. I thoroughly enjoyed the two new organised trips and found them so interesting and thought provoking. As an active member of an art club I loved seeing the workshops and the new, still to be complete but impressive arts centre. The visit to the agadir was fascinating and memorable and of course our return to the palace was interesting. So, full marks Jane, Marie and Steven and congratulations on the latest award which is clearly deserved.

Thank you and love,

Flo. March 2025”

"Thank you so much for this timely reminder & information . As always, your attention to detail & support is much appreciated & a key factor in contributing to a wonderfully relaxing holiday .

Warmest wishes & grateful thanks

Trish, March 2025"

"I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my holiday in Morocco. Every detail was taken care of and it was the most relaxing holiday I’ve ever had. Your Morocco team are so efficient and friendly, especially the magnificent Latifa, who is really a gem. The eco-lodge is beautiful and you must be very proud of its eco credentials. I was in food heaven from start to finish and already practising my Moroccan cookery skills. I can’t think of anything needing improvement and would definitely like to visit again.

Susan, Feb 2025

"The Craft Tour and the visit to the Berber Agadir are really good additions to the agenda and were enjoyed immensely under the expert guidance of 'little' Said' who is so knowledgeable - both tours so very interesting. Well done you for including them!". Jane, March 25

Varied Activities

We offer a number different excursions and activities.

Here we feature our new Crafts of Morocco excursion, during which our guests are invited to immerse themselves in the fascinating history of craft traditions and learn about the materials and methods of making the stunning crafts that survive in our region. You will see where and/or how all the beautiful handmade items in our ecolodge were made and visit craftsmen's workshops.

Topics covered can include: polished plaster in our bathrooms (tadelakt), tiles (including the tiny mosaic tiles known as zellige), pottery, woodwork (including marquetry, carved and painted goods), jewellery, leather goods (we are near the tannery), metalwork, metal lanterns, basketry and other beautiful furniture and furnishings made of plants (including bamboo, grasses, palm fronds and bentwood), rocks and fossils. Many examples of the amazing work of the local craftsmen can be found throughout our property in Morocco.

The visits will be partly done on foot and partly by minibus.

Variety in choice of modes and routes of travel

At the time of booking, depending on where you live, we will suggest the most convenient flights serving Agadir, but we do also like to encourage our guests, if they can, to travel overland from Europe. We recently had a Dances of Universal Peace group led by Jilani dance make their way through Europe, meeting dance groups en route to Morocco.

You can reach Morocco from London in 48 hours by high-speed train. The Moroccan government is committed to sustainability and opened Africa’s first high-speed railway link between Tangier and Casablanca in March 2019. This cuts almost 4 hours off the journey, reducing it to just 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Traveling overland instead of by plane offers significant environmental benefits. By choosing overland routes, travellers can help reduce air pollution, conserve energy, and contribute to a more sustainable future. Excellent information about overland travel to Morocco is available here

If you do fly try to support this remarkable afforestation project

As most of our guests do take advantage of the new and existing routes serving Agadir, we always encourage people to offset their journey by making a donation to this excellent organisation that we support.
