Starting mid-January, we'll be moving from Sunday to Friday to help you plan out your week better.
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP! Our new newsletter needs a new name.
Submit your name ideas. Multiple names are accepted but please only one name per submission form. The person with the winning submission will be invited to have lunch with Rabbi Danny.

Lisa joined TST's ELC this past summer with over 20 years of experience in education. She has been thriving as the Interim Director and the ELC is full of smiling faces every day.

Join Holly Glick, temple member and 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher for Gentle Yoga.
The class will meet from 11:45 am until 12:30 pm and can be combined with Wednesday Morning Adult Learning to embody and thus deepen learning.
No previous yoga experience is required but class is designed for those who can comfortably get up and down from a yoga mat.
Yoga offers the opportunity to quiet and focus the mind, and to improve physical strength and balance.

It is time for another TST Social, open to ALL adults at the temple.This is a great time to get together with friends and engage in a fun game and conversation. Come play Poker, Dominos, bring your own favorite game, or just come to talk with friends.

This is a walk in event but if you know in advance that you or your friends will be there please email Peter Abend so we can be sure to have enough refreshments.
There is a $5 charge to cover the cost of refreshments. (Note an additional $15 will be charged for those playing poker to cover prizes).

You've heard of the internationally renowned Music Together program. Temple Shir Tikva, in partnership with Music Together Beyond the Hub, are excited to be bringing Sing Shalom, the Jewish Music Together program to Massachusetts.
Sing Shalom uses the internationally recognized Music Together early childhood music education program, enriched with Jewish songs.
This program offers a way to interact musically with your child, supporting their development, strengthening family relationships, while at the same connecting to Judaism and the Jewish music tradition.
Classes begin the week of January 6th, 2019 for 9 week sessions. Tuition $235 for children over 6 months/$150 each additional child (temple members receive 10% discount) and includes: a professionally recorded CD and downloads, a full color illustrated songbook, membership to the Family Music Zone for online activities and educational materials, and a Parent Guide.

The messages and techniques of positive psychology align with Jewish tradition, and both inform and support each other in interesting ways. | My Child/Grandchild is Jewish - The Basics Class |

Today we have parents and grandparents of various faith traditions who have Jewish children and grandchildren. What are the basics of Judaism that they will want to know to feel comfortable and welcomed in our TST community?
This course offered by Rabbi Danny is geared for people of other religious traditions to learn the basics about Judaism.
Judaism 101 will be an overview of Jewish religious beliefs, history and basic themes.
We can't cover everything in one session, but this will provide a good foundation with a heavy focus on the Jewish calendar (weekly Shabbat-Sabbath, festivals & major holidays) and the Jewish lifecycle (what are the various moments in a person's life Judiasm celebrates/marks and what these celebrations mean). | Heading Home: The Tale of Team Israel |

Heading Home follows the journey of a group of Jewish-American MLB players representing Team Israel in a modern day David and Goliath story.

TST is proud to partner with
JF&CS Family Table to support the largest kosher food pantry in New England. Please help by donating cans of Tuna and Salmon to the JF&CS Family Table bin located near the Beit Midrash every time you come to temple. JF&CS needs TST to help provide them with 30 cans of each every month so they can continue to provide healthy, nutritious food on a regular and emergency basis to more then 450 families. Volunteers are also needed to pack and deliver groceries. For more information, please contact

These are the main ingredients of the newly released hardcover cookbook From Our Kitchens - Recipes and Stories from the Boston Jewish Community, a compilation of food, memories, community and tradition culled by 150 women from Boston's Jewish community. The book features more than 140 carefully tested recipes for holidays, family meals, dinner parties and seasonal occasions.
