Vehicle Sticker Renewals Begin May 1
Village Hall render
On Wednesday, May 1st, Village residents may renew their vehicle sticker(s) for a new TWO-year term. New stickers will be valid through June 30, 2021. All residents and businesses with vehicles registered via the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office to a Carol Stream address must get a current vehicle sticker. Pre-printed renewal applications will be mailed by May 1st to those addresses with a current Village sticker on file. To buy a vehicle sticker, visit the Village Cashier’s window during regular business hours Monday thru Friday between 8 AM - 5 PM or at the Police Department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Renewal applications may also be mailed or deposited in the Village Hall payment box at 500 N. Gary Avenue. You may renew online if you receive a pre-printed application.

Fee Increase – Vehicle sticker fees beginning May 1 have been adjusted for the first time in more than 25 years. After the fee increase, the cost of Carol Stream vehicle stickers continue to be at the lower end of fees charged by other DuPage County communities. The fee increase was necessary to partially offset recent declines in sales tax revenues which are the primary funding source for Village operations. Every time you shop, dine or buy gas in Carol Stream, a part of the sales taxes you pay comes back to Carol Stream to support community services. Please continue to Shop Carol Stream!

Buy On-Line – For your convenience, you may renew your stickers online from May 1st to June 30th. You will need your pre-printed renewal application and the associated Vehicle ID number to complete your order. There is no charge to use this service.

Failure to buy and display a valid village sticker by July 1, 2019 will result in an increase of 150% of the fee, including the possibility of a $100 ordinance violation. Please contact the Village at 630-665-7050 with questions about the vehicle sticker renewal process.
High winds, heavy and wet snow, and general deterioration can damage fences over time. Property owners are responsible for correcting fence issues such as segments leaning 15 degrees or more, missing boards or structural points, or temporary supports not approved during original construction. The Village will send Courtesy Notices to the owners of properties where a fence is in a state of disrepair. Please contact us at 630-871-6230 with any questions on maintenance or permit requirements.
