First Annual Vista's Fiestas Patrias

This past Sunday, September 15, we celebrated our first Annual Vista's Fiestas Patrias. This event, organized by the Vista Chamber and its Latino Business Outreach Committee, celebrated Hispanic culture and traditions in Vista.

Joining us were Vista Mayor John Franklin, Assemblywoman Laurie Davies, Jessica Ramirez from Congressman Mike Levin's office and Fernando Arechiga from the Mexican Consulate in San Diego who lead the ceremonial 'Grito de Independencia'.

Throughout the duration of the event we had performances from Mariachi Olmos de San Diego, Tierra Caliente Academy, Ballet Folklorico Caliztlan, singer LuMaya, Mission Vista High School Ballet Folklorico, and Rancho Buena Vista High School Ballet Folklorico.
