Letter from Sangye Khandro about this event:
Dear Sangha,
It is a rare opportunity these days to receive any empowerment from a truly qualified master, so the fact that Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche is coming to bestow these precious major Dudjom Tersar Lineage empowerments upon the sangha is indeed reason to rejoice. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal has all the qualities of a great Master, including a noble character. Gyatrul Rinpoche greatly respected the Khenpo and often commented on how he held all the qualifications of an excellent teacher.
Khenpo Rinpoche served his root guru, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, impeccably, as was witnessed by all those fortunate enough to be in their presence. He also served both his father and his esteemed brother, the great Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche. It is not often that we see someone as qualified as Khenpo Tsewang forsaking the limelight and serving as interpreter and attendant. He assisted his brother with faith and devotion for most of his adult life, until Khenchen Palden Sherab’s death.
Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal has become an important Master to all of us and we look forward to sitting at his feet soon to receive these empowerments, and to experience the many blessings that he transmits even through his radiant smile.
