Food vendors needed
In September, a two-year construction project will begin on the Stellantis/Samsung SDI electric-vehicle battery plant on Kokomo’s far northeast side. Yates Construction is the general contractor for this unprecedented building project. At its peak (January 2023-January 2024) the project will employ 2,000 workers.
A challenge during construction will be providing lunch to the large number of workers at the job site. Opportunities are available for local restaurant owners, food truck operators and other meal delivery providers.
Members of the Greater Kokomo Chamber of Commerce are encouraged to respond to Yates Construction's RFP.
