Venetian Islands Road Restoration Project

What's Happening

The contractor for the Venetian Islands road resurfacing project continues working on punch list items including corrective measures on Rivo Alto South. The current phase concentrates on the intersections of South Rivo Alto


To ensure a safe and efficient operation, we kindly request that all vehicles, including commercial vehicles, avoid parking within the designated work zones. Vehicles parked illegally will be subject to towing at the owner's expense.


Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Plan

Detours and road closures will be in place at the intersection of East and West Rivo Alto Drive and 2 Rivo Alto Terrace. Please heed all flaggers and posted signage when traversing around the work zone.

  • The westbound left‑turn lane from the Venetian Causeway onto East and West Rivo Alto Drive will be closed to traffic.
  • Eastbound traffic on the Venetian Causeway will be detoured from West Rivo Alto Drive to 1 Rivo Alto Terrace, then redirected onto East Rivo Alto Drive before rejoining the Causeway eastbound.


Residents of Rivo Alto South, including those within the work zone at East Rivo Alto Drive and 2 Rivo Alto Terrace, will continue to have access to their properties. Please know that this detour has been planned to minimize disruption to the existing eastbound traffic flow.


Timeline

Asphalt paving operations at the intersection of Rivo Alto Drive and 2 Rivo Alto Terrace is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 8 a.m. and end on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 12 p.m. Lanes will reopen sequentially in accordance with the progress of ongoing work. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Please know that this schedule may change due to weather and/or other unforeseen circumstances.


What to Expect

  • Moderate construction noise and dust during working hours.
  • Presence of construction equipment, flaggers, and crew members.
  • Temporary traffic redirection with signage and flaggers.
  • Parking restrictions clearly posted within work zones.
  • Driveway access may be temporarily impacted during paving operations.
  • Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.
