Venetian Islands Road Restoration Project

Project Advisory: Monday, November 20, 2023

Project Overview and Benefits

The City of Miami Beach will commence milling and resurfacing operations of the residential streets on the Venetian Islands. This project will provide a uniform restoration process to the asphalt pavement on San Marino, Di Lido and Rivo Alto.

Construction activities will include removing one inch of the existing asphalt pavement and placing two or more inches of new asphalt pavement to match the final elevation of the roadway. This process is expected to extend the life of the asphalt pavement by several years, and will finally bring the Venetian Islands Neighborhood Improvement project to completion.

What's Happening

Work will start on San Marino, followed by Di Lido and end on Rivo Alto. Access to driveways may be briefly restricted during certain operations. Please be aware that prior notice will be given.

We kindly ask that all vehicles, including commercial vehicles, refrain from parking on the road in order to complete this operation. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.

Timeline

Construction on the southern half of San Marino Island will begin on Monday, November 27, 2023. This work will take about 5 days to complete and will be finished on Friday, December 1, 2023. Work hours are weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This project will resume on the northern half of San Marino Island following the holidays. In January 2024, work will resume to complete Di Lido and Rivo Alto Islands.

Please know that schedules may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
