Ventura Water is offering qualifying customers a free instant hot water recirculating pump! The system connects to existing plumbing at the water heater to provide instant hot water to every faucet and shower in your home- saving up to 15,000 gallons of water a year!

The City, in partnership with a coalition of other local large water users, has developed a collaborative court-binding solution (called a “physical solution”) to protect the Ventura River Watershed and all those who rely on it.

The coalition believes this solution not only preserves and protects all reasonable and beneficial uses of water of the Ventura River Watershed, while implementing specific actions to return the fishery to good condition, but also demonstrates each negotiating party’s commitment to being part of a local solution to protect the fishery and all those who rely upon the Ventura River.

The physical solution does not impair nor determine water rights, priority or water allocations, and the City of Ventura is not asking for attorneys’ fees.

To view the solution, as well as have access to other supporting documents related to the solution, please visit www.venturariver.com. View full press release.
Think Before You Flush
Medications and pharmaceuticals should never be flushed down the toilet. Medications may not be removed in the wastewater treatment process and can end up in our waterways, causing harm to wildlife and aquatic ecosystems.

If you have old or unused (non-narcotic) medications, take advantage of the City’s household hazardous waste collections events held the third Saturday of the month.

For more information on drop-off locations for unwanted and unused narcotic medications please contact the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. Thank you for doing your part. Remember, think before you flush!
