As a part of our annual Biotech Innovation Gallery Knowledge Exchange webinar series, join us as we welcome Dr. Stephanie Davis, the SBIR/STTR Program Coordinator for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), for a virtual event on Tuesday October 10, 2023.


Dr. Davis will share information on non-dilutive funding through the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs and other resources to help small businesses advance and commercialize promising technologies for treating, diagnosing, and researching heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders. Attendees will gain insight on submitting a successful application, upcoming funding opportunities and other specific resources and programs for researchers and entrepreneurs.


The presentation will be followed by a short, moderated Q&A session.

About the Speaker

Dr. Stephanie Davis

Stephanie Davis, Ph.D. received her B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2012 from Florida Southern College. She received her M.S. in Medical Sciences (2015) and her Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology (2016) from the University of South Florida. Dr. Davis was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Neurology. In addition to her postdoctoral appointment, she also interned part-time with the UK Office of Technology Commercialization from January to July 2019. Before joining the Innovation Office, Dr. Davis was selected for the 2019-2020 Executive Branch AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellows Program, where she served as a Program Manager in the National Institute on Aging Office of Small Business Research. She has served in the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute Innovation and Commercialization Office (I&C) since December 2020.
