Help students of North Richmond's Verde School while attending my Holiday Community Open House on December 6
You're invited to my  Open House Holiday Party on Thursday, December 6, from 5 pm to 7 pm, where you will have a chance to help Verde Elementary School.

Let's celebrate another year of working together to improve our communities, with a festive atmosphere and delicious food.

You can also bring a check or cash donation to benefit the children of Verde Elementary School in North Richmond.

For the past 20 years, we've sponsored  the Verde Elem entary Toy & Coat Drive. It's one of my favorite traditions.

This year, instead of toys, books will be provided to each student courtesy of West County READS. And instead of coats, every student gets a new, warm hoodie with the school's colors and logo.

Thanks to great work by parents, educators and students, Verde is a shining light in North Richmond, which is one of the lowest income communities in the Bay Area. We are proud to support the success of these children, and we need your help again this year.

We need to raise about $10,000 to cover 395 custom school spirit hoodies and new books. Your tax deductible cash or check donation will help us reach this goal. Those who donate to fund this will be recognized in my newsletter and will receive a personal note of thanks from me for being a part of the Verde Stars team!
All donations must be received by Friday, December 10.

Checks should be made payable to the non-profit "CHDC of North Richmond" c/o 2018 Verde Hoodie Drive.

You can bring your cash or check donations to our Holiday Party on December 6, or drop them off anytime at my office at  11780 San Pablo Avenue, Suite D, El Cerrito, CA 94530  (Just north of Cutting Blvd).

If you have questions, please contact Robert Rogers in my office (510-231-8688) or robert.rogers@bos.cccounty.us

A warm thanks in advance for your help and support!
