The Art is in the Iron with Wildflower Ironworks
Have you noticed that just like the Ryan Block, the lamp posts on the Stone and Basin Blocks are now adorned with iron brackets holding flower baskets too? Up and down the three downtown blocks of Main, the street is lined with an abundance of hanging flowers baskets from Sweet Charity to Black Sheep Bistro !
John Baker, owner of Wildflower Ironworks is the creator of the lamp post brackets - as well as the storefront railings throughout town. Introduced to blacksmithing and welding through Frog Hollow Craft Center in the 70's, John has honed his craft over the years with projects that are uniquely tailored to its environment. His website reads: Simple and elegant, elegantly simple. We couldn't agree more. Shout out of thanks to John for adding to the character and beautification of the Little City!
