Over 30 Years of Caring for in the Our Community
Vergennes Community Food Shelf
For over 30 years the Vergennes Community Food Shelf has run its mission program with the help of volunteers from several local churches, service organizations, dedicated individuals, and support from the Vermont Food Bank. Located behind the Congregational Church at 30 So. Water Street, the Food Shelf is open Tuesday & Thursday, 2:00-4:00pm and by special arrangements (call 802 877-2435).

Last year, the Food Shelf provided healthy food, toiletries and other household staples to over 3200 people living in 1330 households in and around Addison County and the need is growing.

As they seek to raise about $25,000 each year to run the program, donations are always welcomed. If you feel inclined to support the food shelf, send your financial donation to the Vergennes Community Food Shelf in care of the Congregational Church of Vergennes, Attn: Mike O’Daniel, Treasurer. Volunteers are perpetually needed; contact me at 802 877-2718 or Mike O’Daniel and find your place on the volunteer team!

Thanks to all the people who care and are able “to roll up their sleeves” at the Vergennes Community Food Shelf.

In support of our neighbors,
 Paul Vachon, Coordinator

“ The Vergennes Partnership has been a wonderful resource for One Credit Union. Whether it has been offering guidance from one of their resources about a project we are working in the city or simply providing us with opportunities to support city events, the Vergennes Partnership has been there helping.”
