Who Do You Love?
We LOVE Vergennes & the Surrounding Community!
In the marketing of the Little City, the Partnership looks to our membership, residents, neighbors, and visitors for their thoughts and perspectives on all things Vergennes.
Meet the Hopper's - Vicki and Dennis, who discovered the richness of Vermont when their daughter and son-in-law, (Annie & Sean) were students at Middlebury College. "Vermont embodies everything we like in life" says Doug.
After college, Annie and Sean created a life together in Addison County, establishing Scuttleship Farm in Panton. As shared on their website, "we got into farming to live a life rooted in our values and the splendor of the natural world, to try to make the world a better place, starting with our little corner of it." Beautifully said!
Did you move to the Vergennes area for love - a lifestyle - career move? How long ago? Tell us your story - we'd love to get to know you! For a short survey, click here.

While billboards are a no-no in the state of Vermont, the Partnership set our sights, instead, on creating a human postcard! Put your face into the newly created 4x6 ft. postcard; smile for the camera and create an instant Vergennes memory. Share on social media and hashtag us (#VergennesVT). The postcard will be moving around the Little City this fall - you never know where it will show up!
Many thanks to the many who played a role in this bringing this project to fruition. Kudos to all for their input, sage advice, creativity and patience - 802Print, Lynne & Orion Chabot, (artist) Jennifer Levine, Northland Job Corps, and North Station Millwork.

MUGS - TOTES - T'S
Sandy Rooney is a familiar name to many VUHS alum. Returning to her roots, the artist and master of "many things" (her words) never lost her love of the Little City. Her recent "doodling" (again, her words!) has been reproduced onto fanciful mugs, totes - and now, t-shirts. Mugs ($15) & Totes ($20) are available at Sweet Charity. T-shirts are available at Linda's Apparel too. Great gift giving ideas for locals and visitors alike; check it out!

During the summer of 2019, local resident and artist Erin Daigle set up her easel and paints and with the strokes of a brush, captured the beauty of various buildings all around the Little City. Her work culminated into a colorful collection that made up the Vibrant Vergennes 2020 calendar.

HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Last September, Addison County Community Trust threw open their doors of the new Vergennes Community Apartments. Local residents, partners, and generous supporters came together to celebrate the ribbon cutting on this beautiful, energy-efficient building that is now home to 24 families.
One year later, the community is welcomed back to Armory Lane to learn what 365 days of safe, affordable, and stable housing has meant for the people who live and thrive here.
Save the date for "We Made It Home", ACCT's outdoor celebration on Friday, September 24, 4:00-6:00 pm at 45 Armory Lane. The celebration will include building tours, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza from Pizzeria Verita, music by Deb Brisson & The Hay Burners, raffles, door prizes, and more. 20 Years; A Lifetime for Many
September 11, 2001
At times, life before masks is a distant memory. However, the attacks on 9/11 continue to be a memory ingrained into the minds of all Americans. On behalf of the Vergennes Partnership, we hope you will join us as we set aside time to pause and honor those whose lives were lost on that dreadful day 20 years ago.
Be safe; be well; be kind.
