From Brick to Brick, Vergennes Welcomes Roundtree Construction
Founded in Vermont in 1973, Roundtree Construction recently relocated to Kennedy Brothers, right here in Vergennes. After decades in New Haven at the historic railway office, the company moved from one historic brick building to another. Roundtree continues to specialize in the custom building of architect-designed houses, renovations and additions, as well as historic restoration. Their award-winning work includes a wide range of unique buildings and styles from traditional to distinctively contemporary; they have built some of the finest homes in Vermont. Same number (802.453.4044); same fine people! During their move, they came across a watercolor of the New Haven station (pictured here), created long ago by Rolf Kielman of truexcullins. Imagine moving an office after so many years!!!
~ Bridge-2-Bridge 2021 Flower Campaign Continues ~
Operation Vergennes Beautification continues! All the rain in April will surely spawn a sea of flowers in May, right? Community members, businesses and others are encouraged to join us in the annual drive to raise funds for flowers on the bridge and on up through Main Street! The annual "Bridge-2-Bridge” campaign (Otter Creek to Kayhart Crossing) raises funds for not only the flowers on the bridge, but also the lining of the downtown district and other entry points into Vergennes. Donations of any amount are welcomed; click here for an easy way to give!
VP News is brought to you by Vergennes Partnership, a non-profit organization
dedicated to helping the Little City reach its full potential. Through the Partnership, the City has earned over a million dollars over the years in tax credits and grants which have greatly improved the health, appearance and vitality of the downtown.
