VP Board Members Volunteer in Many Ways

SCOTT GAINES,

he's the guy to get 'er done!

The 42nd Annual Little City Race, held on Vergennes Day (8/26) began early with Scott at the helm. A local favorite, this year the race attracted people from across the border too! Join the fun next year ~ you can do it. Pictured L-R, with Scott in the middle, are two runners from around Montreal: Jean Bernaquez, 91 years young, along with Hugh Wilson, a spry 83.

When Scott's not involved with the race, he's active in Rotary, collecting plastic for benches at the pool, trimming hedges and serving as the treasurer of Vergennes Partnership. Oh, and he owns Gaines Insurance too! Find him on Instagram:

New VP Board Members Maggie Carrera-Bly and Laura Gallup Host Remote Workers Gathering

"Birds of a Feather"

Remote workers, unite! An open invite to area remote workers brought a dozen people out for drinks last Friday night at the Antidote. Working remotely themselves, all were delighted to meet others who spend their days with their keyboard, Zoomin', and largely alone, many with their dog or cat as 'co-workers'! The plan is to meet up monthly for lunch or other 'getting to know you' activities.

Do you work remotely? Interesting in joining "Birds of a Feather"? Call Julie, contact info below. Let's get social ~ in person!!!

What else is happening? Check out the calendar on the Events tab on the Partnership website: www.VergennesDowntown.org
