Sister Joan Delaplane, OP, Recognized

for her Role in Preacher’s Training

Adrian Dominican Sister Joan Delaplane, OP, was one of two homiletics teachers recognized by Father Manuel Williams as instrumental in his preaching training. A member of the Congregation of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ and a preacher of revivals and missions, he praised the women for teaching him not to take his privilege of preaching for granted and not to “step into that preaching moment unprepared.” Read more

Adrian Dominican Sisters Host Gathering of Prayer for Peace in the Holy Land

Halfway around the world from the war and turmoil in Israel and Gaza, Adrian Dominican Sisters and representatives of Siena Heights University gathered on October 17, 2023, for a Rosary prayer service for the suffering people of the Holy Land. Read more

Sister Frances Nadolny, OP, Called Forth to Leadership on the General Council

Sister Frances Nadolny, OP, former Administrator and General Councilor of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, was named a member of the current General Council on September 14, 2023, and will serve in that role through 2028. The General Council unanimously elected her to fill a vacancy left by General Councilor Janice Brown, OP, who resigned in August due to health issues. Read more
