Sister Leizel V. Tedria, OP, professed her First Vows on February 23, 2019, during Mass in the Virgin de los Remedios Repository Chapel at the chancery of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, the Philippines. A native of Camarines Sur of Bicol Region, in the southern part of the northern island of Luzon, Sister Leizel holds a bachelor's degree in education from Our Lady of Fatima University in Pampanga, the Philippines. She was received into the novitiate on December 3, 2016, and currently ministers in the Diocese of San Jose Nueva Ecija.  Read more
Kathleen Woods Formally Accepted as Adrian Dominican Associate

Kathleen Woods, Chair of the Adrian Dominican Sisters' Portfolio Advisory Board (PAB), was formally accepted as an Adrian Dominican Associate March 1, 2019, during a festive afternoon. The Ritual of Acceptance was preceded by a 45-minute concert by pianist Timothy Hollinsead, husband of PAB member Leslie Watson-Hollinsead.  Read more
Series of Paintings by Sister Barbara Cervenka Added to Permanent Collection of DIA

Years from now, visitors to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) will view a series of nine paintings by Sister Barbara Cervenka, OP, and will learn of the peaceful, quiet, devoted life and the violent death of her cousin, Ursuline Sister Joanne Marie Mascha. Sister Barbara has donated the series to the DIA's permanent collection.  Read more
