Adrian Dominican Sisters Stand with U.S. Catholic Bishops in their Special Pastoral Message on Immigration

On behalf of Adrian Dominican Sisters and Associates, the General Council issued a statement in support of the recent pastoral message by the U.S. Catholic Bishops.

Sister Jamie T. Phelps, OP, Theologian, Advocate for Social and Racial Justice, and Black Catholic Studies Pioneer, Dies at 84

With great sadness, the Adrian Dominican Sisters announce the death of Sister Jamie T. Phelps, OP, PhD, a theologian, preacher, social worker, social and racial justice advocate, and passionate promoter of Black Catholic Studies and the gifts of Black Catholics to the Church. She died at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Michigan, on November 22, 2025.

Sister Attracta Kelly, OP, Immigration Attorney, to Speak on Plight of Immigrants and How to Help

In recent months, immigrants in the United States have faced challenging and sometimes frightening situations as a result of crackdowns on immigration law by the administration of President Donald Trump. Sister Attracta Kelly, OP, an immigration attorney, will address that situation and ways that concerned neighbors can be of help.
