📣 VTTA Welcomes New Board Member

Dr. Kellie Campbell


We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Kellie Campbell, Chief Information Officer at the University of Vermont, to the VTTA Board of Directors. Kellie brings a wealth of experience in digital strategy, higher education, and inclusive tech leadership. Her voice will be a valuable addition as we continue to grow Vermont’s innovation economy and talent pipeline.


Kellie’s appointment also reflects VTTA’s ongoing commitment to work collaboratively with academic institutions across Vermont, from colleges to technical schools, to align education, workforce development, and innovation for the long-term success of our state’s economy.

GlobalFoundries Installing 16-MW Lightshift Battery Storage On-Site at Vermont Semiconductor Plant

Lightshift Energy is installing a 16 MW battery storage system at a semiconductor plant in Vermont. One of the largest projects of its kind in the state. This on-site storage will help improve energy resilience and grid stability while supporting the growth of Vermont’s advanced manufacturing sector. How much is 16MW? It could keep every home in Montpelier running through a power outage or charge up roughly 1,000 electric vehicles at once. Read more here.
