A Land Remembered
by Patrick Smith

Guest speaker: Susan Adams is a restaurant owner and County Commissioner. She will be introduced by Ruth Standridge, Indian River County Historian.

This book focuses on the fictional story of the MacIveys who struggled in the harsh Florida environment in the mid-19th century.

These events are open to the public with no admission cost, but we do appreciate donations of a new or gently used pre-K books for our young readers project.

Member Janet Sierzant has won 3rd place for her book Gemini Joe, Memoirs of Brooklyn , in the Royal Palm Literary Awards at the Florida Writers Conference. This is a prestigious award, and we all congratulate her on this wonderful accomplishment.

MEMBERS HELPING MEMBERS is Still Alive!

Do you need help with anything? Learning how to use the GPS in your car? Getting internet signals in your home? Being able to use your computer? Getting a ride to meetings?

We are still active and helping each other. One member at Indian River Estates is having difficulty with Internet and computer, but other members there are online frequently. So we have someone coming to the rescue and restoring our friend's capability. She'll be able to do so much more!
