WORSHIP
SUMMER WORSHIP + POTLUCK = VESPERS
August 12, 19, & 26, 5:30 pm, Peace Garden
Lovely warm summer nights, ahhhh! And in August, on lovely warm summer Sunday nights, all are welcome to come to our Vespers circles. At First Universalist, this means we gather in the Peace Garden* at 5:30 pm for a half-hour of centering music, readings, and meditation, and then share a simple potluck supper at 6 pm. Bring yourself and anything you’d like to share. Invite others to come with you. However you spent your weekend, it’s nice to know you have a circle of friends who will be glad to see you. (*Rainy? Inside!)

FAITH IN ACTION
FAITH IN ACTION BULLETIN BOARD
The new Faith in Action bulletin board is complete! Check it out in the Gathering Room, where you can see what fellow congregants have been up to.
The central part of the green bulletin board is a semi-permanent FiA installation--to be updated perhaps a couple times a year. Many thanks to all the people who helped with set-up or design of the green bulletin board, including Amy, Suzanne, Toby, Leslie, Sarah, and Dorothy. -- Mariana Tupper ( catalpa.girl@gmail.com)
KALAKA NEWS FROM TRANSYLVANIA
Thanks to our friends and donors to Unitarian Kalaka, a playground is taking shape and a community hall is being renewed! Volunteers in Varosfalva have been clearing the site, cutting and preparing the lumber, and beginning installation of a community playground in their village. A new floor, restored walls and ceilings, and hand-painted notice boards are just some of the visible improvements volunteers have completed as they renovate the Brassó community hall this summer.
