Dear Wardens, Treasurers, Vestry Members and Ministry Directors,
You are invited to attend a Renewal Workshop for Vestries on either Saturday, May 5 at Christ Church in Exeter or on Saturday, May 12 at St. Andrew's Church in New London. This Renewal Workshop is for wardens, treasurers, vestry members and ministry directors to help you envision how your church can follow where God is going ahead of you and to learn from each other about your roles and responsibilities in church leadership.
9:00 am: Light breakfast and registration

Listening to One Another: Sharing our Responsibilities (Part I)
For all vestry members who have not taken the "Basics" class at previous lay leadership institutes : Basics in Church Governance for New (Or New-ish) Vestry Members will take place during both Part I and II of our workshop time. This workshop will focus on church polity, by-laws, governance and leadership. Facilitated by Steve Baker, Chair, Mission Resources Commission.
For returning church leaders who have already taken the "Basics" class: During Part I (10:30 to 11:30 am) and Part II (12:00 to 1:00 pm) you may choose to attend two of these workshops:
- Wardens Roundtable: an opportunity for wardens to share stories, ask questions, and brainstorm challenges with each other. Facilitated by experienced wardens.
- Treasurers and Property Managers Roundtable: an opportunity to discuss the resources available for congregational development - human, financial, and property - and how best to use these resources to "tend the vine." Facilitated by Gloria Gallant, Canon for Finance
- Stewardship of Resources: Emphasis on stewardship and capital campaigns in order to support mission and ministry. Facilitated by Tina Pickering, Canon for Ministry Development
