Kirmani was born and raised in Watt Town, St. Ann Jamaica. Calling upon his experience, when Kirmani moved to the U.S. in his late 30s, he joined the Army National Guard where he still serves today.
Kirmani and his family currently live in a tiny 1-bedroom apartment, and with your help can soon have a 3-bedroom fixed-mortgage home in a community of veterans to call their own.

Homes 4 Families' CEO Donna Deutchman was part of an oversite hearing held by the Assembly Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs' Chair Pilar Schiavo, government entities, and other veteran housing and service providers on November 7th, addressing veterans housing, homelessness and mental health in California. We are proud to participate in these very important conversations.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our 5th Annual Rainbow Build! The Build engages corporations, our veterans, and the LGBTQA+ community in Homes 4 Families' mission to build resiliency, economic growth, neighborhoods, and homes for veterans families. The day consisted of fencing, painting the living room and bedrooms, installing doorknobs, pouring concrete, cleaning windows, installing benches, and finalizing details. | |

Family Art Workshop

Thank you to the Max H. Gluck Foundation for joining our veteran families during a Family Art Workshop on November 4th. During the workshop, each veteran family showed off their unique style through the Family Coat of Arms Workshop to represent who they are as a family on a giant shield. | |
Family Halloween Party
Happy Halloween from the cutest pumpkins in the patch! Our families celebrated a spooktacular Halloween party by trunk or treating, pumpkin and cookie decorating, playing games, and eating delicious popcorn!
