Funder Spotlight

City of Palmdale

To kick off our Rainbow Build on September 17, The City of Palmdale presented an $800,000 check to Homes 4 Families to provide affordable homeownership for veterans in the non-profit’s veteran community. The City of Palmdale has been extremely supportive of this project since its inception, providing funding, as well as attending events, fundraisers, and builds. Leaders of the City including Mayor Steven D. Hofbauer, Mayor Pro Tem Richard Loa, Councilmember Laura Bettencourt, and Director of Neighborhood Services Mike Miller presented the check to Homes 4 Families CEO Donna Deutchman and Board Treasurer Eric Steinhauer.

In appreciation of this extremely generous contribution, Homes 4 Families presented the City of Palmdale in return with a framed piece of art created by a military spouse in the non-profit’s trauma-informed art program.
