Palmdale Veteran Enriched Neighborhood®

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 15th Annual Women's Empowerment Build, which took place on May 3rd at the Palmdale Veteran Enriched Neighborhood®. The enthusiasm, dedication, and hard work from attendees made this event truly special and impactful. It is through the generous support that we are able to carry on our mission of building resiliency, economic growth, neighborhoods, and homes for veteran and their families.

This event is more than just a building project; it is a heartfelt effort to build brighter futures for those who have served our country. It is also about empowering women, fostering community spirit, and strengthening the bonds that hold us all together. Each year, we come together with a shared goal—to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans. This year's WE Build was our largest and most successful event to date!

Thanks to the incredible volunteers, we made significant progress in six homes! The efforts included installing fences, painting bedrooms and living rooms, detailing around the homes, and installing essential appliances, all of which contribute to making these houses into warm, welcome homes. In addition, efforts were made to landscaping and transforming a 2,000 square foot play area with turf and playhouses for children!

The atmosphere throughout the day was truly amazing! With the continued support, we are making steady progress toward completing this next phase of our project. Together, we are making a lasting difference, hone home and one community at a time!

One of the highlights of the event was a heartfelt and creative activity where everyone who attended, painted colorful, meaningful rocks. These works of art are now proudly placed in our Palmdale community garden, which are a living display of unity, creativity, and the joy we shared. The rocks bring a vibrant energy to the space, transforming it into not just a garden, but a reflection of a community that honors its heroes and celebrates togetherness.

Brunch with the Brave

We are overjoyed to share the incredible success of our recent Brunch with the Brave event in celebration of Easter! With over 30 attendees, including beloved veterans, families, and children, the day was filled with heartfelt connection, laughter, and a deep sense of gratitude. Our veterans showed up in wonderful spirits, and it was truly inspiring to see them engaging with each other and our community. Stories were shared, friendships rekindled, and new connections made as everyone mingled over a delicious brunch. The energy in the room was warm and welcoming proof of how much this time together meant to us all.

The children added extra joy to the gathering, playing and bringing their own lighthearted spirit to the morning. It was a beautiful reminder of the strength and vibrancy that multigenerational community event bring to our lives.

Rainbow Build 2025

We invite you to join us for the 7th annual Rainbow Build on September 27th, 2025! The Rainbow Build engages neighborhoods, corporations and the LGBTQA community in the H4F mission to build resiliency, economic growth, neighborhoods, and homes for veterans.
