We are proud to celebrate National Military Appreciation Month by hosting our 3rd Annual Regional Vet Connect Event on May 14, 2022, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Embassy Suites, 4705 Clydesdale Parkway, Loveland. Plenty of free parking and no admission. Enter through the John Q. Hammons Conference Center entrance. Doors open at 10:00 am; someone will be there to greet you. Declared by Congress in 1999, May was selected as National Military Appreciation Month. It's a month-long observance honoring the sacrifices of the United States Armed Forces.

No speakers | Nothing to sign up for | Nothing to purchase | Refreshments provided | Take away gifts

This free opportunity is for Veterans to connect with other Veterans for camaraderie and fellowship in a comfortable environment. In the middle of the room, you'll find tables for each branch of the service. Veterans can congregate with a coffee and pastry to meet others from their respective branch. It’s also a chance to learn what resources are available. Family members and active-duty military are encouraged to attend.

Rocky Mountain Young Marines Receives Award
The National Young Marines Youth Organization has named Rocky Mountain Young Marines “Unit of the Year” in Division 4. The Fort Collins-based unit is comprised of 26 youth members led by adult volunteers. Two of the adults are former Young Marines, one currently serves in the Marines, and the other is in the Navy. They provide flag retirement ceremonies using their own custom-made portable fire pit, partner with local nonprofits serving Veterans and perform as the Honor Guard at military ceremonies.
