Rental Assistance for Single Mother
A 49-year-old female Navy Veteran in Broomfield lost her job in November through no fault of her own. She was able to pay rent through December and most of January. However, her job search soon turned into growing concern of not finding employment in time to pay the February rent. Through our extensive vetting process, we found this to be a valid request. Working with one of our funding partners in the Denver area, we were able to bring her rent current. This greatly reduced her stress and allowed her to focus on finding work.
Note from the Veteran:
“I appreciate all the effort you put in to ensure my children and I will keep a roof over our heads. The organization that has helped us this far was a God send. There are organizations out there that could help veterans but, the red tape is so thick you can't get through it. Veterans should not have to go through so much to receive assistance. We freely gave and continue to give our time and life but remain overlooked and left out. This organization needs to be able to remain up and running so they can help more Veterans. All Veteran resources should be willing to help no matter what. Allowing them to remain in business will save a lot of lives. I am extremely grateful!"
With all sincerity,
DL
