Latest on COVID-19 and Booster Eligibility-- Pfizer has been approved for use as a primary vaccine for individuals ages 12 and older and full approval for the Moderna primary vaccine for ages 18 and older has been granted. Emergency use authorization for the Pfizer and Moderna primary vaccines are in effect for individuals 6 months through 11 for Pfizer, and 6 months through 17 for Moderna. Emergency use authorization for the Novavax vaccine as a primary vaccination series is also in effect for individuals 18 and older. Find more on vaccine eligibility HERE
Maryland COVID-19 Preparedness/NEW Testing Site-- MDH has a state-run testing site at Anne Arundel Medical Center, open daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for walk-in PCR tests only. This site only offers PCR testing (no at-home test kits will be provided). Find more COVID-19 testing HERE

Student Loan Repayment Pause Extended
U.S. Department of Education extended the pause on student loan repayment, interest, and collections. Payments will resume 60 days after June 30, 2023, unless the Department is permitted to implement the Biden Administration loan forgiveness program.

Food Scrap Composting Drop Off Program
The City of Annapolis is proud to announce that City Resident's can drop-off food scraps into the collection containers at Truxtun Park near the Skatepark at 300 Truxtun Park Road during normal park hours.
To access the collection containers, City Residents will need to sign-up to receive the access code.

Free Tuition And Fees For Dual Enrollment Program
Eligible Anne Arundel County Public Schools students who participate in the dual enrollment Early College Access Program at Anne Arundel Community College will no longer be charged tuition and fees.
The change takes effect immediately for all eligible students enrolled in credit classes for the 2022-2023 school year. Students are still responsible for payment of textbooks and related course materials during the 2022-2023 school year.

- County Police Department District Stations will be available 24/7.
- County Senior Activity Center Community Rooms will be available during business hours (8:30am-4pm) Monday through Friday.
- Public Libraries will be available during business hours (10am-9pm) Monday through Thursday and (10am-5pm) Friday through Saturday.

Two More Weeks to Pay Tolls Without Penalties
MDTA approved a two week extension to the Customer Assistance Plan that offers a civil penalty waiver grace period for Video Tolls. The MDTA continues to urge customers to take advantage of the plan by paying unpaid Video Tolls now and make sure they are paid in full by December 14, 2022. On December 15, toll debt referrals for collections actions and for vehicle registration suspensions will resume.
