Greetings one and all!
We are sending out this reminder for our holiday schedule. Coming up next week, Wednesday, November 11th, Estrella Warbirds Museum will be open 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All veterans from any military service, are admitted free of charge! All others, only $10 for adults - one day only. But wait, there's more! If you come early in the day (before 12 noon), we have a wonderful team of volunteers who will be serving all veterans free hamburgers for lunch at the noon day bell!
If you haven't been to the museum in a while, things might look a little different. For one; the city has been in the process of digging up Dry Creek Road so they can install new water and sewer lines (and pave the road). Don't worry, it's passable.
Two; We've added a new addition to Freedom Hall (Curator Storage). Exterior is done, interior is still being worked on. No dust in the museum.
Three; We've been moving aircraft around just to confuse people. (Not really, we want to better align some of the aircraft with like period planes.)
Four; Some of the buildings exteriors may have been repainted since your last visit;
Five; New displays! Not just artifacts, but also wildly cool new vehicles in the Woodland Auto Display! I'm not saying which ones since you may have not seen all of them the last time you were in. There are so many!
Six; Oh, that COVID thing? Yes, we are social distancing, so bring your favorite face mask. We just have to limit the number of people in any building at any given time to 50 maximum. Should not be a problem, so bring the family, friends and your favorite veteran!
So many reasons to come on down and visit us! Pick one and make a day of it! Plan on having a bit of fun along the way!
From all of us veterans to you, We are proud to have served!
See you on Wednesday, November 11th!
