VETERANS DAY BRIDGE BRIGADES!

Veterans Day is next Tuesday, November 11. Across the nation, teams will hold peaceful visibility events on overpasses and bridges. Millions of people will see the messages! The purpose of this national event is to give Veterans a platform to express their outrage with the Trump administration's steamrolling of our Constitution and rules of law. Veterans, as well as all public servants who swear an oath to the Constitution, are tired of the administration thinking military service members make oaths to the president!

Come stand on this overpass with our local vets and wave to all the honks of support! We will have one large banner for each of the sections over the north and the south bound lanes. If you bring your own sign, you must clear its message with the organizers ahead of time.

There are two locations in our area:

On the 93 overpass on North Ashland Road in Ashland (sign up here.

On the 93 overpass on Pinnacle Hill Road in New Hampton (sign up here.)

What we can do to help SNAP recipients

Earlier this week, I sent out this list for just the towns in the Plymouth Area Democrats area, but here it is expanded it for all of Grafton County. Please share with others you know in our County.

You can donate directly to the New Hampshire Food Bank online — or, even better, you can help locally. Writing a check is good or consider gift certificates to local supermarkets. They are particularly welcome at any of the following food banks.

When you shop, ask about a “pay-it-forward” option. Our local farm in Plymouth (Longview) has $10 gift certificates you can buy, which they will then donate to the local food pantry for use at the farm. Some supermarkets have an option to pay for a later customer with SNAP benefits. Just ask.
