Vexed!!!??? 4/23/23

I have great news for you today-I caught the raccoon that has tormented me for years!!!

In all seriousness, many of us live daily in vexation!!! AMEN!!!
Like Lot above, daily life is VEXING.

DAILY we live in a world gone entirely insane!! Just watching the “news” will drive on a “righteous” person's blood pressure.

I have come to the conclusion that my watching ANY cable “news” “news channel” is no different than watching ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT or reading the tabloids sold in the check out lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING!!
When will I/we realize “they” ain't gona' ever/never do anything to anybody!!!???
Fast forward to today, please.
I AWOKE (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENING AGAIN!) this morning early-before daylight-and headed to my man cave to grab a cup of coffee.
As I passed my animal trap I noticed that the trap had been sprung but I could not see anything in it.
I have been badgered by wild animals for several years.
I have a small chicken coup and enjoy caring for them and the eggs they produce.
But they attract predictors-especially raccoon s, coyotes, and yes, even possums.
I also HATE armadillos who make MANY holes in one's yards.
This past week “something”killed another one of my chickens and so I baited my armadillo trap to catch the murdering critter who done the crime........
I caught a possum Saturday morning instead of the HATED raccoon but added a little spice to my trap last night and TADA!!!! got me a coon.
I AM ELATED to finally-after all these years-to get em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My son Bubba said when I informed him of my catch, “Dad, you need to get a hobby!”
But Preacher, how does this relate to ME and my VEXATION??????
I opened my Bible this morning and God led me to RE-READ Psalm 37-one of my FAVORITE Psalms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Note these opening Verses:
Psalm 37:1-2 (KJV)
1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
NOTE that THEY, the EVILDOERS...........................
“SHALL SOON BE CUT DOWN LIKE THE GRASS, AND WITHER AS THE GREEN HERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beloved, grass and green herbs have a shelf life!!!
They only stay green/live/prosper for a little and short time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These “evildoers” the rich and famous and powerful day is coming!!!!!!!!!!!
They may “get away” with it all NOW, but, like this raccoon, someday soon they also will meet their Maker-AMEN!!!
In amazement and with this chain of thought I RE-READ Psalm 37-DO IT-RE-READ Psalm 37 with the mindset of a just God speaking righteous retribution on the wicked and the BLESSED hope of those of us VEXED!!!
