With great sadness, we announce the passing of Vickie Tinker

13 MAY, 1953 – 9 AUGUST, 2020

Vickie Ellen Tinker, age 67, of Columbus, passed away on August 9, 2020. Vickie is the wife of GPCA Past President, Roger Tinker.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at 10:00 am at Parkhill Cemetery.

Vickie was born on May 13, 1953 in Columbus, Georgia; the daughter of Frank Roland Collins
and Rachel June Cheney Collins. Vickie was raised and educated in Columbus. On May 27, 1978 Vickie married Roger C. Tinker, they made Columbus their home. They are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She led a life of service, often doing for others
before thinking of herself. She was employed by Muscogee County School District as a Bus
Driver for 13 years. Vickie enjoyed many things in her life, but what she loved was her family
and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Included in her family was Foxy,
her Pomeranian that had been a faithful companion for the last 12 years.

Vickie is preceded in death by: her Father, Frank Collins.
Survivors include: her husband, Roger Tinker; three sons, Carey Wayne Hammocks,
James Roger Tinker; Matthew Lamar Tinker; a lady that was like a daughter, MaDonna Marie Callahan; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; her mother, June Cheney; two sisters,
Tracy Bullard, Kathy Lockhart; brother; Kevin Collins, and numerous
friends of the family that will cherish her memory.
