City of DeLand 2050 Vision Plan:
Over the past few months, city officials have received paper and online surveys from residents during the
You Are DeLand
campaign regarding what people desire for the future of the city in the year 2050. Preserving DeLand’s downtown charm, maintaining green spaces and maintaining the quality of the city’s special events are just a few examples of remarks left by survey respondents. Residents are invited to join city staff for public workshops to continue the conversation and build a framework for amending the existing 2050 Vision Plan, which will be voted on later by the City Commission. Public input is crucial to ensure that that the amended Vision Plan reflects the priorities of our residents so future DeLandites enjoy a quality of life that is as good or better than what we have now.
